BeeCeeBee Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 (edited) Hello Jazz, I am going to suggest that the kind of question you raise is not one that anyone here is really able to answer unless he/she has the specific machine in question. The previous post by Dalo Harkin is indicative of the problem, how is he or anyone to know for sure. We can help members identify and source items needed but cannot vouch for specific commercial websites or be responsible if it is wrong. Simply put, you have the machine in front of you, (or your friend does) you should have a part number and be able to proceed from that. Tootech Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Jazz, I'd email the company to check - you'll need the part number that is printed on the battery. There's another link here to double check Buy Packard Bell battery - 100% Guaranteed SAFE! Plastic Nev Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 It is really the model number of the battery that is important, there should be a label on the battery itself. JaZz Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 hey ppl found out the model its a MIT-RHEA-C and the model of the battery BP-8050, (S), went on the packard bell user support and found a post that that model is the R1, here is the post Packard Bell User Forum :: View topic - mit-rhea-c - Which model is this?, looked at that link I sent at the original post again and I am guessing that, that battery would fit in his laptop. Does it look like that? or Have I got something wrong :( lol JaZz Quote
Tootech Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Jazz, the MIT-RHEA-C seems to be printed on a large number of Packard Bell laptops - don't take that as the model number. The BP 8050 (S) is the battery, and the link in your first post is that battery. If you look through the description, that one is listed. Have a look at the link below as a cross reference - too expensive, but it does confirm the battery type. Buy a cheap BP-8050 441681700001 Battery Pack from MDS Battery Quote
