Why would you want to? Hello Leythos, thank you for the quick answer :) The situation is: 2 small (seperated) company's are in the same building and sharing the same phys. Network (Cables, Plugs, etc.), every company want to use it's own server/domain (SBS 2003). Server 1 is used with around 10 user (company 1), server 2 is used by 2 users (company 2). The thing is, from time to time the 2 users from company 2 need to get access to server 1, this is the reason of my questioning... Hope that I could explain it clearly?

Why any office building would setup a LAN were all customers are on the same lan is beyond me. Take the single internet connection, install a firewall with multiple LAN PORTS or putchase individual firewalls for each business in the building. Assign a public IP to their firewall appliance, setup SBS to work with the new IP addresses. Now, for sharing files, they can either use the built in RWW to a computer or you can expose the CompanyWeb and put the "Files" in the "Documents" folder on the company web, or you can setup FTP and allow them to get files by FTP - you could even allow then to VPN into the second company. SBS will not work properly if it detects another SBS server on the same network. -- Leythos - Igitur qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum. - Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented worker" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist" spam999free@rrohio.com (remove 999 for proper email address)
Mr. Wu Posted November 10, 2007 Author Posted November 10, 2007 Re: 2 x Windows 2003 Smallbusiness in 1 phys. Netzwork? Hello, thank you for your answer! I've put my question in some other forums and there are people (professionals) they think that it could work with the 2 SBS 2003 in 1 Network, maybe I'm gonna try it... I think, there is also the other option to split the phys. Networks with a router into 2 networks, maybe this will work better, what do you think? Regards, Mr. Wu
