I recently purchaced a blu ray internal drive, I thought it would be a simple job connect it up and install the drivers. However ive connected it up and my computer is recognizing it in device manager and saying it is working properly but the drive cannot find any discs not just dvds i have tried games and audio cd, my computer just freezes up and crashes when i try to open the drive in my computer. I have installed the proper software and updated it on the internet and it is definately plugged in correctly as the blue light comes on and the drive opens and closes so it's not a power issue. I am certain that is not due to my computer not being fast enough as i have more than all the minimum requirements needed. Is the drive faulty or is there something i need to do to my computer settings to make it work?

thanks for your help

ok. let me see if i can help, if you already havent fixed it.

if you have bd advisor with the bundle software that came with the drive run that and attach it to this forum for me to see.

Also i have heard that Gigabit mobo, do have some issues.

also go to run and type dxdiag in dialog box and run it in 64bit mode and also attach that file to here so i can see.
