Guest Terry On Windigo Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I've setup a few servers but not experienced this before. Any ideas. I am installing server 2003 standard on a computer that has a 130 gig hd, 2.4 Celeron, 512 meg memory. After the CD loads into memory, and after it loads all the setup files into ram, it says "Setup is starting Windows", only it never does. It just stays there. What could I be over looking. I had been running server 2000 on this machine for a little while and wanted to put 2003 on it. The new HD seems to be fine. As a thought, I let the 2000 version partition and format the new drive with NTFS, and it did it just fine, so I doubt it is the HD. Docs say I only need 128 memory, but I've got 512. Terry

Guest Terry On Windigo Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Re: New server setup Well I wondered about that. Does anyone know if 2003 runs on a Celeron? I would think that could be the only problem. 2000 has been running on this machine for quite a while. Guest Ken Ramsey Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Re: New server setup Terry, Sorry for the delay. My world has gotten busy. While I didn't check the processor specs for SBS 2003 I feel a 2.4 Ghz Celeron is fine. My first thoughts lie in the video card, hard drive controller or even in the cd itself. Have you cleaned it or checked it on another computer? "Terry On Windigo" wrote: > Well I wondered about that. Does anyone know if 2003 runs on a Celeron?
