Quota

Hi,

For a FTP-User I fixed quota (Warning Level/Limit).

The FTP-User has got a Windows Server account.

The user has access rights (read/write) for one folder on this webserver.

The current space used by the FTP-user is about 30% / 45 MB.

But in the window "Quota Entries" I can see, that still 0 bytes are used by

this user - after pressing refresh view of course.

In fact I copied the initial amount of data with remote desktop as admin to

the specified folder, where our FTP-user has his access rights.

What do I need to do, that the quota-window can display the correct numbers?

Do I need to delete the whole data and upload it again with this FTP-user?

Thanks for your hint.

regards

Patrick

Re: Quota

Patrick,

Yes.

The quota is based on the file owner:

RE: Quota

You can assign the FTP user the owner permission for the files.

To do this, open the properties of the files and access the Security tab.

Select Advanced. Under Owner tab, change it to the FTP user's account.

Hope this helps.
