a1tone Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 I have downloaded Knoppix to install on a new PC, but when I turn the PC on it returns an error. verifying DMI Pool Data...... Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM: Failure... DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER When I press enter, the following error re-appears. Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM: Failure... DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER At present I am unable to load anything up. Hope someone can help. Thanks Quote
maynardvdm Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 you are not using a bootable cd. or if you want to boot from the hard drive make sure there is no disk in your cd rom or change the bios so it boots from the hard drive. that is if you have an operating system on the hard drive.
