Guest Wolfeymole Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Ok your latest post quite clearly indicates that you are booting from the hard drive irrespective of what you have just written regarding the boot order in the bios. You have to change the boot order and I am really trying to help you here. Quote

RandyL Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Your bios shows that your cd device is set as the second boot device not the first. Quote We are all members helping other members. PC4Dummies Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 no honest cd is first you choose which one you want in the boot device menu F12 and when i choose no 2 ide cd-rom device same thing happens Quote
RandyL Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Sorry about that. I misread. OK it seems you have changed the boot order. However it seems that your PC is not finding the CD drive at bootup so it's going to the next device in the list. This can only be one of two things. Either the disk is so bad it can't be read or the cd drive is faulty and can't read the disk. It's most likely the cd drive. I think you need to try a new or different cd drive.
