Printers and Driver installations on Terminal Servers

I know that I should install applications via Control Panel, Add&Remove

Programs but is this the same rule for installing Printers and their drivers?

Hi,

 

In most cases printer drivers can be installed by opening

up the Printers folder and choosing File - Server Properties -

Drivers tab - Add button.

 

For a small number of cases you must run a dedicated

setup or install program to install the driver. For these

it is best to put the server in install mode first and then

change back to execute mode after setup is complete.

 

All of the above assumes that the driver is TS compatible.

If you are unsure if the driver is compatible with TS it is

usually a bad sign if it requires a dedicated install program.
