Server Section

I just joined so dont want to get to big for my boots or anything, but I am supprised that there is no dedicated NT/2000/2003 server sections?

 

I don't know the user base here very well as yet, it seems to cater more for the home user and perhaps that is the overall aim, but it may be a nice addition as a trial?

Well to be perfectly honest Geek I can't remember the last time I saw a question regarding server issues.

 

So we thought why have a forum with no Questions and Answers in it.

I have a couple of questions but cant really find a place to put them, maybe that's why?

 

Obviously you know your user base better than me, it may simply be the case that server issues and questions are outside the scope of the general community here in which case I would agree with you that there may be little point in adding the section.

Without wishing to be in any way insulting to the team or the members I have to agree that it does indeed go beyond the scope of FPCH.

 

We have also had instances in the past where apprentice IT personnel have asked for solutions with regard to issues in a company/office environment and we have had to request that they obtain paid for professional advice from qualified systems administrators.

In terms of offering advice on server OS's there are dedicated forums for them elsewhere.

Most of the members we have require general help and guidance.

 

I for one have a server in my house, but I have never seen a question here based on one.
