Guest ChuckN Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 I changed the Network Interface Card on a backup Domain Controller. The PDC and the backup are both running W2K3 Enterprise. Is there anything I need to do to update the PDC so that it recognizes the new connection?

Nope - presuming you configured it identically to the old one. Is it working now? Note that there's no such thing as a PDC/BDC in Active Directory; with the exception of the FSMO roles, all DCs are peers.
Guest ChuckN Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Re: Change Nic on Domain Controller Thanks. Everything appears to be working correctly except I did get an NTDS Replication error Event 2088 when I rebooted the primary server with the Master FSMO roles. I thought it might be looking for the old NIC. I thought it might be looking for the old NIC. Nope. But you could run a dcdiag & netdiag if you wish. > > > > "Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]" > <lanwench@heybuddy.donotsendme.unsolicitedmailatyahoo.com> wrote in > message news:exyoJJ8IIHA.5468@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... >> ChuckN <Chuck@newmanArchitecture.com> wrote: >>> I changed the Network Interface Card on a backup Domain Controller. >>> The PDC and the backup are both running W2K3 Enterprise. >>> >>> Is there anything I need to do to update the PDC so that it >>> recognizes the new connection? >> >> Nope - presuming you configured it identically to the old one.
