So I left my computer on over night to continue downloading something which had been downloading for some time, then I wake up and go to firefox, only to stare hopelessly at the message "failed to connect"

Now I've checked my firewall and nothing has changed, nothing could of possibly changed whilst my computer was on sleep...

I've also uninstalled it several times, this hasn't worked.

So now I'm stuck using IE -.-' because that just works fine?

I also have a few other problems related to this....

I tried to instal chrome earlier, which it needs an internet connection to progress further in the installation, but it couldn't connect and gave me the same advice, check your firewall.

Another thing is because I'm using IE, for some strange reason it says javascript is turned off on youtube and that whole buggery, so I go to download the latest flash player, I download it but it can't install because of.....oh, NETWORK ERROR

Please help, I don't want to have to use IE, its slow and insecure and doesn't support awesomeness x'[

What were you downloading and from what site?

Just the Adobe creative suite 4 torrent, its a clean download so it has nothing to do with it.

Taking you at your word that you are "very Experienced" you know full well how wrong you are. P2P is dangerous and downloading programs and all the necessary cracks presents the greatest danger of all. There is little doubt that your computer is infected. Please review the following:

If you require help in removing your p2p software and disinfecting your PC please start a new thread. This thread is closed.
