So far 93 People have been burnt to death in Bushfires close to Melbourne,and the toll is expected to go higher.

Oh dod, I'm so so so relieved to see both of you posting here!! I literally have been sitting here so frightened as just after turning the computer off tonight our local news shot up a 30 second bit about the massive fires and loss of life in Australia - and I'm truly heartsick for all of you!!!!

Being that you are in Sydney you are, hopefully, safe. Still, personal concerns for you aside, it is a horrendous tragedy and the fact that it could be deliberate takes it into the realm of the incomprehensible.

We are safe in Sydney.The temps are down from 45C to 20C and light Showers.

These horrific Fires in Victoria,makes one sick,to think someone, may have lit some of them.

The Death toll, will never really be known, as people will also Die, from Burns and Smoke related Diseases prematurely.

Makes me mad that even today,new Fires are breaking out, and Arsonists are thought to be responsible.

They say also, over a Million Animals, perished.

This is terrible,no matter what Country,it occurs in,and appreciate your thoughts at this time.

Australia bleeds at this time,and it's nice to know other Countries care for our well being.

I personally can't think of a worse way to die, I genuinely feel for the peoples families and loved ones.

 

Such a waste of life, as Bob12a said words cannot explain.

Its not just the dead, in some ways there lucky, its the burns of the survivors, and scars that they leave, as for those that have started some of the fires well......

Any loss of life is tragic - but the fact that it was caused purposefully makes it far worse

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this tragic time. My sister lives in Busselton and the other day she was telling me just how hot it is out there which doesn't help with trying to put the fires out.
