Server 2008: UAC woes in Fax and Scan: "unable to access"

I'm unable to use "Windows Fax and Scan" on Windows 2008 to send a fax from

it locally. I get what seem to be UAC permission issues all over the place.

It works fine, however, if I elevate it first ('run as administrator'), but

that does no good since I can't do that from code (i.e. auto elevate).

 

1. Is there way to solve this problem, by setting the right permissions

somewhere?

2. Are there other similar problems in Windows 2008, such that I should

turn off UAC?
