Hello,

Perhaps the wrong sub-section, but ill ask anyway.

I have an old PCMCIA Audigy 2ZS Notebook sound card that I wish to use in my new laptop, the problem is it's too big for the slot thats on the new laptop.

I was just wondering if there is a USB card reader out there (That's in stock!), that would fix my problem.

Thanks.

I am guessing your laptop has an express card slot.

If I am right, you will need something like this:

ExpressCard to PCMCIA CardBus PC Card adapter/converter

Can you give us the details of your Laptop, make/model so that we can find out if this is correct for your machine.

Cooler Master HAF 932

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.3GHz

Asus P5K Premium Black Pearl

2GB OCZ reaper 1066MHZ

ATI Radeon HD4850

Ah, well in this case David you cannot put your PCMCIA card in your lappy as a PCMCIA card is an Expansion card.

And the card reader you are on about, is a memory card reader, for such things as Cameras, Phones, etc.. to save having to connect them upto the lappy with a wire.

Unless your machine has an Expansion card slot, which I did not see mentioned in the spec, then you cannot add any cards such as the one you want to.

Didnt let me edit ^

The cards thats fit it are 24mm accross, im guessing the Expresscard is slightly bigger than that? Which was why I was looking at USB devices.
