Well I gave it a good dust out about 2 months ago from now. Before that it hadn't been done since i've bought it which was about 2 years ago from now. Fans seem to be working fine?

But its worth noting before cleaning it out my pc would switch off randomly quite a lot but, the clean out resolved this issue.

We have specialists on hardware issues who will reply to this. Offhand it seems that there may be an overheating problem of some sort and quite possibly with the cpu itself. Are you sure of that 6 hour figure as the amount of time needed for a restart, or is it the amount of time you are giving it?

I would agree with Beeceebee - you definately have a heat issue, the fact that you have to leave it so long to me would imply the CPU is overheating.

You can check this by entering the BIOS most BIOS have thermal sensors and the one on the CPU is normally pretty accurate.

Post back what it says -

Have a good clean of the inside of your case with compressed air (small sharp bursts as to not cause moisture buildup on components)

you will more than likely have to take the CPU fan off and clean the thermal paste off the top of the CPU, apply some more thermal compound and re apply the heatsink.

We can help you with all of the above so dont worry!
