Tootech Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Clipper, had a look at the ebay link. Can you confirm a couple of things - it will help sort out the BIOS settings. The mainboard is ASRock - yes? Can you let us know which model number it is. Also, from the ebay ad it looks like the DVD drive is an IDE drive, not SATA. Can you confirm that too. Thanks.

BeeCeeBee Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 (edited) And sorry i did not see in the rules about how you should write..........It is not a rule, clipper, it is basic courtesy. Both members and staff bend over backwards to help people who struggle with English as a second language. You have demonstrated the ability to communicate in other threads and it seem to me that you feel it isn't worth the bother. You do, however, expect us to bother on your behalf. Quite frankly it has not done you any service this time as it has caused a review of of your history with this forum. You have started 8 different threads on Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help 3 of which have been closed due to dodgy operating systems downloaded by you. In another you blamed your kids for downloading software despite the fact that you are 23 years old. You now have what you say is a new version of Vista that you purchased and cannot install on a brand new PC. A machine that you purchased without an OS despite your prior issues. You have never indicated that you have removed the p2p software that has caused the problems on your other machines. Everything you say may be true and this may be an example of crying wolf. You may just be unlucky and this may be a coincidence. I have more than a little doubt and am closing this thread. If you feel you have been wronged please PM an administrator and request that it be reopened. I suggest you include convincing evidence that this os is genuine and that you are not wasting our time.
