TS Server Usage

I'm just about to dip my toe into Terminal Services for the first time and

have got just a couple of basic questions.

I've got a spare Dell Poweredge 700 (2.8ghz & 2Gb ram) running Windows

Server 2003 R2 and I was wondering:

a) if this would be a suitable box to become a Terminal Server?

b) how many clients could it reasonably be expected to handle?

In the main, the box will be used by a remote office for Outlook and an SQL

client application (the application itself is on another box). It will be a

member server of a 7 user SBS 2003 network.

This seems suitable enough.

About 25-30 low-usage users and about 15-20 high usage users. For the

high usage users, I would plop another 2Gb RAM in there.

I had a HP TC4100 PIII 1.4Ghz & 4Gb RAM hosting 20 medium-high usage

users. Worked out OK. Sometimes it would drag at peak usage but nothing

that the users could would complain about.

Server seems just fine for this type of network.
