I had dowloaded Anti-Maleware (Malwarebytes), and ran the program thinking that it would solve my Spyware problem.

Also now when switch on the laptop i get 3 pop up RUNDL error messages :-

1 - protect.dll

2. -autochk.dll

3 - ChkDisk.dll

What are these errors mean?

Macaroon, you are not the first or the last person who tried to pick and choose from the malware disinfection program thinking that maybe you will get lucky. Been there, done that. :)

Follow it through from beginning to end and then we can deal with what, if anything, is left over.

As bee says - do the whole lot, it works for most malware.

I asked about System Restore as sometimes installing programs, then Restoring back to an earlier time can mess up program settings, and I was wondering if that had trashed your network connections.

Your doing good - it does take a good deal of time to get through.......
