how does per-user login work?

In using TS (Win2k3/XP) in per-user mode, does the CAL get issued to the

domain account used to connect to the terminal server when the user logs in

using Remote Desktop? - or - If I'm connecting to our TS from my home

computer, will the CAL be issued to the account that I am logged into my home

computer with?

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Re: how does per-user login work?

Currently, Per User TS CALs are unmanaged, which means that they

aren't issued at all.

That's why it says "N/A" under "Issued" in your TS Licensing

Server.

In Windows 2008, Per User TS CALs will be issued, and you will be

able to see to which user accounts they have been issued.

The account used will be the account which you use to logon to the

Terminal Server.
