DFS vs Symantec Cont Backup Protection?

I'm currently running Symantec's Continuous Backup Protection server for

Windows 2003 to replicate shared documents to a remote location over T1

lines. It's dog slow so I'm thinking of switching to DFS instead. Anyone have

suggestions?

It's free, set up two "boxes" as Win 2k3 R2 servers and test it.

Definitely not free. I tested that software about a year ago. It costs about

$2k per server. I'm going to give DFS try.

Does it matter that server that has the shares is a domain controller and

the one I want to replicate to is only a member server?

Nope. What does matter in order to get *all* the benefits that R2 has to

offer you should run Win 2k3 Enterprise on the hub server.
