terminal service and "integrated windows authentication"

We have a terminal server up and running on the same sub net and domain as a

windows 2000 server runign iis5. One of the web pages is configured to

"integrated windows authentication". The uses are unable to log in. When I

look at the logs for the web page the user infomation is missing from the

log. It looks like ie running on the terminal server is not sending the user

information. How do I get ie running on terminal server to send the user

information?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Re: terminal service and "integrated windows authentication"

Hi Jonathan,

Is integrated windows authentication enabled in Internet Explorer

on your TS?

What zone does your 2000 web server run in? You can tell this

by opening up IE on your TS, navigating to the 2000 web site,

and then looking at the lower right corner of the IE status bar.

If the zone is detected as Internet you may want to consider

changing your settings so that it is either Local Intranet or Trusted

Sites.

Check the security settings for the zone that the server resides in.

What is the current setting for User Authentication (this setting is

at the bottom of the list so scroll down)? It is best *not* to turn

on automatic logon for the Internet zone.

Please reply back with your results.

Thanks.
