Guest andrewg Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 So it seems MS released an update rollup for IE7 on Oct. 4 2007, then promptly expired it due to problems. Now when I try to go to setup IE7 to deploy to Windows XP the WSUS 3 server is telling the the update has expired. What am I supposed to do now to deploy IE7? Background info: http://www.wsus.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=11083 http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services/browse_thread/thread/aee632b2989b3fec/760158f130fd0ac5?hl=en&lnk=st&q=ie7+expired+wsus# I can see from this I am not alone with this problem. MS needs to release a working updated rollup or I have to figure out how to get the April 11 2007 Windows Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP update to show as an option in WSUS, right now I only show the expired OCT. 4 2007 one. How can MS release a patch and then expire it within a few days leaving me without IE7? How can they sit on this for over a month with no fix? Does anyone have any ideas or fixes for me? Thanks!
