Against my better judgement I finally succumbed and purchased an Ipod. In the end it was the sheer size (120GB) that swayed it as most if not all competing MP3s would not hold the collection.

Before I purchased said pod, I loaded itunes and added over 6000 tracks in readiness.

On the day I finally added the ipod, i was offered a free download - updating itunes. I had bother since then. I have removed, re-installed, updated Quicktime (as requested) and now I cannot get itunes back onto my PC.

When I run the .exe file I get the following;

There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.

I have a laptop which I have itunes on, but do not want to start from scratch with the music.

Am I missing something obvious as it worked before - please feel free to advise/suggest.

Steve

Thanks Mike

Itunes and I are now "content". We'll never be the best of buddies, and in time Itunes will have a PC all to itself leaving the rest of my stuff untainted! lol.
