Windows Defender will not remove Trojan:Win32/Wysotot.gen!A

I became aware that I probably had an infection on my computer and ran a full scan of Windows Defender. The scan detected a severe threat, "Trojan:Win32/Wysotot.gen!A". Unfortunately, I have not had any success in removing the threat with Windows Defender after numerous attempts. Windows Defender just stops the removal process near the end. Any suggestions?
