Guest thrombotic@gmail.com Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 For the past week I started getting the following error. Event ID 1000 Error occurred while wizard was checking the current windows product license. Error Code: 8 0x8007000e. This server has been going strong for 4 years, it currently hosts our website. It has not lost functionality. I have noticed that the page file is up to 2.1 GB and winlogon.exe is running at 491mb. I'm worried that if I reboot the server, it will not be operational because it can't check the product license. We have a hosted web application that we cannot afford to go down for several days. Any thoughts, one way or the other whether I should just reboot? Thx RG

Guest Joe Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Re: Error Code 8: 0x8007000e Windows Product Activation Microsoft invalidated a great many Volume License keys, as well as MSDN Universal keys a while ago. If you check with MS you should be able to be re-issued new keys. <thrombotic@gmail.com> wrote in message news:aef25edf-63f4-4bbe-8d00-3aaecaac6817@a39g2000pre.googlegroups.com... > For the past week I started getting the following error. > > Event ID 1000 > Error occurred while wizard was checking the current windows product > license. No changes to the server have been made, no new windows updates lately as I manually go and get them so auto update has been off for over a year.
