WINDOWS DEFENDER NOT COMPLETING SCANS

WHEN DOING QUICK SCAN IN DEFENDER NORMALLY IT SCANS 17050 FILES NOW IT IS ONLY SCANNING 9065 FILES. I RUN A SCAN EVERY DAY AND UPDATE DAILY. NO FILES HAVE BEEN DELETED BY ME. THIS APPEARS TO HAVE ONLY HAPPENED SINCE LATEST WINDOWS UPDATES. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKYOU
