Rejoin Server to a Different Workgroup

We have a Windows 2003 server. The server is running IIS. The server

joined the workgroup. We would like to join this server to a different

workgroup. Will anything affect IIS if we join this server to a different

workgroup? Does it affect the server in anyway if we join this server to a

different workgroup.

Thanks.

Shouldn't harm anything as long as your talking about workgroups and not

domains. You never really "join" a computer to a workgroup anyway, all

accounts in a workgroup enivornment are local accounts.

No, it should be fine, at least where IIS is concerned. Note that a

workgroup isn't anything other than a convenient way to organize/view stuff

when you browse the network....it doesn't represent any sort of security

barrier, etc., as does a domain.
