I do not have a router. Avast anti-virus says: "Your router has been hacked and its DNS settings have been modified to serve malicious content." I have a cable modem. One computer is hooked to it. I lost my internet access the other day. I came to the conclusion that it was not the internet provider or the modem. I hooked up a old computer and the internet worked fine. I then hooked up the computer with the original no internet issue and the internet works. But I keep having strange things happen. Such as , shortcut icons moved.
