Thanks to the Microsoft team, I could recover my Windows Defender after I uninstalled an antivirus software following a viral attack last Sunday.

Windows Defender works fine now, however, I am not able to access the Settings, This morning I wanted to have access to the Settings and each time click on "Settings" on WD, it will minimise to the task bar and I am transferred to the Windows 10 Security settings page for Windows Defender that says in red caption that "Some settings are controlled by your organisation*.

Evidently, being the only user and Administrator (with Admin rights), I am the organisation, but I dont have access to my WD settings... I suspect this might be the consequence of the uninstall of the antivirus software (BitDefender).

So could anyone please help me getting out of this vicious circle?

Thank you.

Jean-Claude
