Guest Andy Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 When I migrated users from Win2k -> W2k3, their disk quota setting is not copied over, it has been configured to the default disk quota setting. For example For folder \\server\data, disk quota default setting for all users is 100MB. But for managers is 1GB. After the migration, the managers, developers and IT department users disk quota setting has been configured to the default setting, which is 100MB. Any workaround? Andy
Guest Meinolf Weber Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Re: User Migration from Win2k - W2k3 - disk quota Hello Andy, Quota will be set on the disk, not per user. You only assigns for the users on the disk. Guest Andy Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Re: User Migration from Win2k - W2k3 - disk quota Thanks Meinolf Yes Quota is set on the disk volume as the default setting, but I have 100 users is set to differet disk quota, which is more than the default setting. And I can't it hard to configure it manually. Imagine, I have 10 disk volume set with quota. It will be a hassle for me. There's no group policy set at the target domain.
