Guest ZaZ Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 I have a windows server 2003 SP2 and want to upgrade to R2 (SP2) for the additional programs. Does anyone know of any problems with this (it does not seem to be mentioned anywhere on the MS site). Thanks.
Guest Joseph T Corey Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Re: Upgrade Windows 2003 SP2 to R2 There's no problem with this at all. R2 only adds additional functionality and doesn't really change anything that's already there. All you need is R2 media and an R2 product key. Installation is straight forward (just pop in Disk 2 from an R2 set). If this is a domain controller, there would be additional steps to extend the schema. -- Joseph T.
