vssadmin.exe, vssvc.exe and KB940349

Hello,

 

There's a little bit strange behavior of update KB940349 on Windows 2003

R2 x64. When I install this update, it removes vssadmin.exe, vssvc.exe

(and several others) files from C:\WINDOWS\System32. When I remove this

update, it restores the files back to C:\WINDOWS\System32.

 

Does anyone know why there is such behavior?
