Unlock Computer - RDP Session

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My RDP Session after some idle time is showing Unlock Computer window and

asking the user to input username and password.

In terminal services configuration - sessions TAB, the settings are default

(nothing is checked), no user values override is configured.

I checked the Screen Saver in the terminal server and it is disabled. What

other conditions I need to check ?

Regards.

Re: Unlock Computer - RDP Session

This sounds to me like the screen saver kicking in. Idle session

time-out doesn't show the Unlock computer screen and warns you in

clear text that the session is about to exceed it's limit and

disconnect.

Enforce disabling of the screen saver for all users with a GPO:

User Configuration - Administrative templates - Control Panel -

Display

"Screen saver"

and because this is a user setting, you'll need loopback processing

of the GPO as well:

Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - System - Group

Policy

"User Group Policy loopback processing mode" - "Replace"

Re: Unlock Computer - RDP Session

Dear Vera,

Thankyou. I implemented the GPO and my client logins are under observation.

I will report on this in couple of days.

Regards.
