Media Server Admin Page Does Not Work with IE7

Recommended Posts

When ever I try to access the Windows Media Server Administration page using

IE7 I receive the following error message:

Browser not supported

The Windows Media Services Web Administrator requires Netscape version 5 or

later.

You are currently connected using:

Browser: Netscape

Version: 4

I do not have Netscape loaded on the PC I am using for administration. The

Media Server admin pages works fine with IE6. Is threre a parch or a

configuration option I need to apply or set?

Try changing the useragent for IE. To do this, download

http://www.fiddlertool.com/dl/IE6SP2.reg and run and merge it to the

registry.

Now try accessing the media server admin page. It should work now.
