Guest Gary M Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 we had our file server crash. we got a replacement up and recovered the data, but the original was shot. I had some concerns about naming the replacement the same as the crashed server, (and was in a real hurry) so I created a new server and copied the data to it. we always redirect users My Document folders to the file server, and set the PCs up for offline folders, so their data is cached on their PCs. now I have an issue in that some, not all, of the PCs are still trying to sync with the old server, even while their My Documents are now directed to the new one. and syncing with the new one as well. how do I stop the PC from trying to sync with the old server? I tried deleting the offline files, and tried turning offlline files off and then back on, but they still see the old server. its that big of a deal, its just that they get an error message about the PC trying to sync to the old server, and it worries people.
