DirtyPolo Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 The next level would be Windows XP. It is probably not a concern, but what are the specs of your PC, just so we know it will comfortably run it, should you choose to upgrade. Guest Wolfeymole Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Right click on My Computer and choose Properties. Tell us what it says in comparison to this picture at the bottom right. http://www.mskprathap.com/images/systemproperties.gif Quote

Guest Wolfeymole Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Mmmm ok well to be brutally frank Mrstipple we'd advise that you get a new box as that cpu (processor) Pentium 3 could range from 500mhz to 1000mhz. The memory needs at least quadrupling and you could run into all kinds of other issues along the way. The very nature of the operating system installed dictates that the pc is getting into it's autumn years and you may buy XP and install it only for the power supply to fail or the motherboard packs up, the hard drive alone will be long in the tooth. All in all we would heartily recommend that you get a new system. They are very inexpensive these days. Quote
mrstipple Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 Thanks for your advice - I was being a cheapskate first as I am short on cash. Have to put it on my wish list for Santa. :) Quote
