Guest Noctaire Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I have a box with 6G of memory and Win2K3 Enterprise installed. However, it only "sees" 3.75G. Is there something special I need to do to get it to use the full capacity of the box?

Guest Krish Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 RE: Win2K3 Enterprise & Memory > 4G Hi, as per the windows documentation any server OS will show the amount of RAM that the OS is going to use and by default any OS uses 4GB of Physical RAM, Even though you can install more than that. As per the previous reply before you add the /PAE switch in the Boot.ini file you should decide the role of the server and the does it require the change. Becoz if you do this change the memory management for the box changes and later in future you come across memory issues. Thanks Krish "Noctaire" wrote: > I have a box with 6G of memory and Win2K3 Enterprise installed. > However, it only "sees" 3.75G.
