Am being encouraged to use the online diary at the office and need to access it at home. At work, the system is Windows XP and the calendar is kept via Outlook. Here at home, I use Vista and Windows Mail. I can get to the office calendar via the work website and see my appointments. But I can't add or change anything from home and the times are starting hours too early. Don't really want to start work at 2 am.

Not a life or death issue but I WOULD like to use the calendar properly. Thanks

Is this a web based calendar, Jet, and if so which.

With regard to the time settings, I would assume that the program is US based and will display time based on a default time zone. Look to the program settings for the ability to set the proper time.

By any chance is this OfficeCalendar Online?

What concerns me is us offering advice on how to setup, access and change data on an employers network whether it be from work or at home.

As a security issue I suggest you take this up with your employer or IT department. They may have restrictions in place for very good reasons.

For us to circumvent your employers wishes would not be appropriate.

This is not to accuse you of trying to do any harm but there are many many people who use our site and we wouldn't want the wrong people to misuse the information.

Rereading that one line above, I have to agree with RandL. If your only access is through the employer's website this is not simply a calendar that will sync with Outlook such as Google Calandar.

More likely than not we could not help you anyway since the site is clearly being administered by someone with unrestricted access.

The time setting issue may be with your PC settings (is your clock set for the proper time zone?) It also may have been an unanticipated result of incorrect settings done by whomever set it up. I am reasonably sure that in today's world access to the calendar from a remote location is probably desirable for the employer it would, however, still not be our call.

Also in terms of accessing your work 'data' from home, I am guessing you are using a VPN and this is where you need to get your work IT dept to configure it all correctly.
