IIS Sites work Externally not Internally(localhost)

I've come across something interesting here.. None of the sites in IIS(v6 on

2k3server) work locally, ie: localhost (for default site) or any other

domains/right-click-Browse.... comes up with: "This program cannot display

the webpage.. You are not connected to the internet / website is

encountering problems / might be typing error in address"...

 

There are no entries in the log file for the site.. it seems to be a DNS

issue but I am able to (on server) ping yahoo, nslookup the domain resolves

to the correct IP (itself).

 

I've checked Permissions on the folders and they look in order, as the sites

are pulling up externally but not on the server itself, I'm a bit confused.
