Guest davidtheweb Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I am looking to be able to access NTFS drives from a command line only environment (ie: Not loading all of Windows first, just accessing the drives to do a reinstall of the OS from a partition) I've found DOS Boot Disks, but they only access FATxx drives, not NTFS. A search for NTFS bootables hasn't borne fruit yet, so I'm seeing if our forum has ideas and solutions.

Guest Daveg Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Re: NTFS Boot Disk Creation I think the best option would be to download the WAIK from Microsoft.com and create a WinPE 2.0 disk, This will allow you to add drivers aka storage/NIC into WinPE so you can use it on all your systems. There is a 512 MB RAM requirement when booting. I believe this meets all of your requirements. daveg

Thanks all, this helped!
