Riff Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009  ive been having problems with my folders. i'll explain the best i can... if i download a song, it saves to my documents, but it creates multiple folders. by this i mean it has a folder for its name, which i go into. then it goes to another folder with the album title, which i go into again. Then it's the file. i think it might be called 'stacking'?? im a complete novice to be honest. it all started when i used bearshare, it seems to have altered my folders. please help me! i'd really appreciate it. thank you :)
Tootech Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Hi Riff, Spare a thought for the rules of the forum here.... http://extremetechsupport.com/forum/introductions/5272-rules.html Rule No 3. No advice or help will be offered with regard to P2P (Peer to Peer, torrents etc) programs or software obtained via that medium unless a member specifically states that they require help on removing such software. We don't advise on problems associated with p2p software. Programs such as Bearshare can introduce viruses and spyware to your computer and cause endless problems. Please spend some time removing your music download programs - all of them - and see how your computer behaves then. If you are still having problems, come back an let is know.
Riff Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 sorry about that, i didn't realise about the p2p regarding the rules. i have deleted it via add/remove programs and restarted the pc, but it is unchanged. :confused:ive tried looking at folder options and stuff but can't see a way around it. any ideas?? please.
RandyL Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 What hasn't changed? The files and folders that you already downloaded? Probably. Have you downloaded any files since you uninstalled it? I'll bet not. If so what were the files? I'm thinking that's a moot question. Did it set up a folder structure? If it had the answer would be no unless you downloaded from the P2P again. Download ATF-Cleaner by Atribune. I'll bet you only get a file. Four minutes from the time of Tootechs last post to the time you posted you say you read the rules, uninstalled the P2P and you must have downloaded new files to test it since you said you still have the problem. Then you still had time to come back here and post all in under four minutes. A bit too fast I would say. In all honesty I don't believe you are being honest with us about removing the P2P and want us to provide a fix to get the program to work the way you think it should. This Thread is Closed.
