Email Spam

Hi Guys.Lately, I have been getting more Spam Emails,than I consider acceptable.

Was thinking of getting a program, called Mailwasher.

Any better ideas,or an alternate program,preferably free? Thanks.

Wondering, what the settings in Windows XP, should be set to,as well.:)

Hi mate.Outlook Express. I don't know where these clowns,are getting my Email address from.

I am forever blocking senders,but the problem persists.Thanks.

Thanks for that.Just worried that Legit Emails,if they contain any of those specific words, and large attachments of photos, sent to me, may be deleted.Will study more,mate.

Pay particular attention to filtering in messages versus filtering out.

 

Also make sure you pay attention on the order of the rules as that will determine what happens first and if it will even go to the next rule.

 

I used to have a series of rules that rivaled any filtering program and not once did I filter a mail out that I wanted. However it did take me a few months to get it set up right.

 

Another tip when filtering by words you have to use every spelling of the word. For instance to filter out Bob you need to use Bob, bob, BOB, B0b etc. lol
