I've already tried that. In my case it always defaults to maximised. - Franc Zabkar -- Please remove one 'i' from my address when replying by email.
Guest rmpete Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Re: Shortcut to Printers Thanks, I've already tried that. In my case it always defaults to normal. How can I convince Windows XP that I really want it to start minimized? Thanks again "dadiOH" wrote: > rmpete wrote: > > Hi, > > How can I set up a Shortcut to Printers that starts Minimized? > > Thanks > > Make your shortcut, right click it, select properties and in the "Run" > window select "minimized". > > -- > > dadiOH > ____________________________ > > dadiOH's dandies v3.06... > ....a help file of info about MP3s, recording from > LP/cassette and tips & tricks on this and that. > Get it at http://mysite.verizon.net/xico > > > >

Anyway, in Windows 98 it appears that the Printers shortcut takes on the size and position of the last saved Explorer window. BTW, I tried minimising Explorer and then closing it from the taskbar, but that still resulted in a "normal" window for the Printers shortcut. >"dadiOH" wrote: > >> rmpete wrote: >> > Hi, >> > How can I set up a Shortcut to Printers that starts Minimized? >> > Thanks >> >> Make your shortcut, right click it, select properties and in the "Run" >> window select "minimized". >> >> -- >> >> dadiOH - Franc Zabkar -- Please remove one 'i' from my address when replying by email.

Guest rmpete Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Re: Shortcut to Printers Thanks, Franc. Sorry I misspoke. In Windows XP, Printers will open minimized for me. I'd like it to do the same in Windows 98, but it keeps coming up normal. Sounds like I'll have to live with it that way. rmpete "Franc Zabkar" wrote: > On Mon, 26 Nov 2007 12:44:00 -0800, rmpete > <rmpete@discussions.microsoft.com> put finger to keyboard and > composed: > > >Thanks, I've already tried that. > >In my case it always defaults to normal. > >How can I convince Windows XP that I really want it to start minimized? > >Thanks again > > This is a Windows 98 group. > > Anyway, in Windows 98 it appears that the Printers shortcut takes on > the size and position of the last saved Explorer window. > > BTW, I tried minimising Explorer and then closing it from the taskbar, > but that still resulted in a "normal" window for the Printers > shortcut. > > >"dadiOH" wrote: > > > >> rmpete wrote: > >> > Hi, > >> > How can I set up a Shortcut to Printers that starts Minimized? > >> > Thanks > >> > >> Make your shortcut, right click it, select properties and in the "Run" > >> window select "minimized". > >> > >> -- > >> > >> dadiOH > > - Franc Zabkar > -- > Please remove one 'i' from my address when replying by email. >
