Are you sure that your files have been uninstalled or are you just unable to find them?

Do they appear in "Add or Remove programs?" What about windows explorer?

What error message do you get when you attempt a system restore?

They do not come up in the add or remove programme.

They are in the programme section but no where else. Everytime I try to access a word file it states that I need to install the programme. But Ive not unistalled it in the forst place AHHHH!

Try accessing them in Safe Mode if you can. (Reboot the PC and tap slowly on F8 as it begins to boot.) You will get a black screen with a number of options. Try safe mode and see if you can access the programs. You may also want to try the same thing but choose "last know good configuration" and see if that works.

Please report back and I am sure someone will tackle it in the morning.

How old is your laptop? Is it possible that you were running a Demo version of MS office?

Is it just MS Office and Skype? Or are other programs "missing"?

Go to your "My Computer" icon and right click. Select "explore" and then "Local Disk C." Click on program files. If they are hidden select view these files or view all files. (You may have to run as an administrator.)

Change nothing but simply click to open the various program folders and make sure that the folders actually contain the program files. I repeat, change nothing, just close the folders and let us know what you have found.
