Guest N. Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 We are planning to purchase a second domain controller for our single domain company. My question is can I run a Windows 2003 64 bit domain controller with a Windows 2003 32 bit domain controller ? Our plan is to eventually decommission our 32bit DC and just have our 64bit DC. Any issues with migration between the two? Thanks Nick
Guest N. Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Re: DC (win32) to DC (64Bit) Found it. EXPERT RESPONSE 32-bit and 64- bit domain controllers can co-exist without issues. However, you will need to re-run the Active Directory preparation tool adprep, using the version from the 64-bit media, before introducing your first 64-bit domain controller.
