craigbenham Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 i don't know where to put this so will start here... I need advice about what piece of software could be the answer to my problem. i need something that will let me build a company database for all of my double glazing customers. i want to be able to build an enquiry form where i can fill in the details of work they require. this will then fit into the database so i can search using various details eg. location, name, active/inactive file, date last used? basically trying to stop relying on paperwork and start using my laptop or desktop so all the work is in one place?? ANY suggestions really appreciated?? thanks in advance craig. Quote

Guest Wolfeymole Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 If you don't want to shell out enough money to choke a mule on MS Office then consider Open Office and the Base (same as Access) tool in that. Base Quote
Tootech Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Couple of ideas..... Instant Quote Professional - you can setup a customer database, quote, change quotes to invoices, maintain customer details, etc etc. Microsoft Office Accounting Express - Should do all the things you want. The express version is free - yes it is totally free and it churns out nice bits of paperwork, invoices etc. Instant Quote Professional | Quote, Invoice Creation and Billing Software http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/accountingexpress/FX101729681033.aspx Quote
mike Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 You may want to consider Quickbooks - more of an accounting package but it handles customers good. Also, Sugar CRM is a free web based customer relationship management system. It is quite detailed, and maybe too big for what you are after but it is free.
