hi all, everyone ok?

i am now using my new comp, 2.4 Pentium 4, 512mb ram, nothing compared to what some of u lot r running but sweet as a nut for me, it has a nvidia geforce4 mx 440 installed, but i dont know anything at all about graphics card, can someone tell me is a 3d rage pro better as i have been given one and not sure if to leave the geforce installed?

the rage card says it was made in 1998, rage pro AGP

and secondly,

would i be able to take the 512mb ram stick out of my old pc and stick it in this one's secondary slot? my old pc was a 1.6GHZ celeron..

Stick with the MX440, its about 3 years younger and runs AGP x 4, the other card runs AGP x 2 - ie slower.

We could do with a bit more info about your memory question.

Your P4 will be running DDR RAM, perhaps PC2700, I think your older Celeron will also be running DDR but maybe a slower speed.

Can you have a look on the memory modules, and see if they have any part numbers on them - say 512MB 266MHZ or PC2100 etc, and let us know the numbers.
