SuperD Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Hi guys, Thanks for the replies again to my previous qustion but i have a few more. 1) A user has purchased a Cable modem and Router for his PC but which should each be turned on? a) Modem, Router PC b) Router PC Modem c) Modem PC Router d) PC Modem Router 2) Which type of Power supply has 1 socket and 1 power plug? a) AT b) ATX c) UPS d) Heat Sink 3) You are using alcohol to clean a trackball mouse. What protection should you use? (I've forgotten the options for these) Thanks a lot guys again Darren P.S. I took my CompTia exam again today 675 is required and got 665 Doh! Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Ok on Q1 I have my modem and router plugged into a 6 gang socket and the pc on it's own separate supply so on power up it's; Modem and Router at the same time and then I turn the PC on. Q2: This is a bit of an odd one because some PSU's have an output for a monitor to get power Q3: I'd say rubber gloves as alcohol dries the skin and just make sure you don't clean it in front of a fire. SuperD Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 Thanks for the replies, Wolfy. I do agree with you in Q2 though it is a very odd question. I'd appreicate any more thoughts on Q2 in particularly. Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Well in theory you could say the UPS as it's plugged into the mains (Plug) and the pc plugs into that (Socket). Also all PC PSU's are stand alone and require a "kettle lead" to function. It's obviously not the Heatsink lol, what a stupid option. Quote

It still doesn't change the fact it's an odd question though. Quote
