Guest Cyborg Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Hi, I have installed a print server for the first time. I'm running Windows 2003 R2 and have 5 printers installed. All the settings on the server are correct e.g. paper size, double sided etc. When I get a user to install, the printer installs fine, but none of the settings are adjusted on the users PC. Should the user get the server settings? If so how?
Guest Robert L. \(MS-MVP\) Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Re: Print Server help If I understand the issue correctly, you can't adjust the printer settings on the client printer manager. You do that only in the server. However, the user should be able to manage the settings in the application for example, open MS Word and then printer. -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "Cyborg" <andrewwhite@btinternet.com> wrote in message news:59126712-60A9-4ACB-AD6B-A5A25F5BFDA5@microsoft.com... > Hi, I have installed a print server for the first time.
