TS Installation

Recommended Posts

Hello. I installed TS Licensing and activated 10 per device CAL's on a server

that I now want to install Terminal Server on. The wizard warns that any

currently installed programs will no longer work so I have two questions:

1. does this apply to SQL Server currently running on the box?

2. will this mess with the license information in any way?

I'm thinking i'd need to reinstall SQL server but hoping to hear from

someone who's been there first.

Thanks.

Re: TS Installation

You shouldn't have to reinstall SQL but applications like office would

have to be. Make sure you have enough memory and processor to run SQL

and your users because terminal services and SQL are mutually exclusive

pieces of software. In essence both are resource intensive and can

cause problems wiith each other.
